Sony starts his new PlayStation Plus Service in June, which offers a catalog of games and other services.
In contrast to the Xbox Game Pass, Sony will not offer its Playstation players in it. At least not for the release.
And that will probably not change in the future. Because Sony CFO Hikori Totoki once again confirmed that Day One public publications would reduce the quality of the AAA games.
Totoki said: “If we sell AAA titles for PlayStation 5 via the subscription service, we may need to reduce the necessary investments. That will worsen the quality of the first party titles and that is our concern. "
"So we want to make sure that we pay the corresponding development costs to have solid products and titles that are introduced in the right way."
Playstation CEO Jim Ryan said something similar at the end of March, shortly after presenting the redesigned Playstation Plus Service.
