Vanguard is finally a real cod and picks me up immediately

Call of Duty: Vanguard is a 2021 first-person shooter game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It was released in November 2021 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, as well as Xbox Series X/S. It functions as the eighteenth installment in the general Call of Duty collection. Vanguard establishes a storyline including the birth of the unique forces to face an emerging danger at the end of the battle throughout various theaters of The second world war.

MeinmMo author Maik Schneider has his first hours in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Vanguard behind him and feels directly at home. He says the new cod relies on the great strengths of the series and is looking forward to the coming year in the game.

The COD games of the last two years have always managed to trigger a pleasant hype with me before the release. Even before the release Call of Duty: Vanguard built up in me such a pleasant tingling and when I finally turned my first rounds in the finished multiplayer, from the tingle was temporarily goose bumps.

For the first hours were the pure fun - unlike the two predecessors Black Ops Cold was and Modern Warfare. Vanguard plays like a real cod from the first moment and brings me exactly what I expect from the series: fast battles, many good 6VS6 maps and a horny feeling in the surrounding of the opponents.

Vanguard gives me what I wanted

So I define a real cod: The community of Call of Duty is huge and grown over many years. This leads to each of us a bit different from us. For example, your first code was one with Jetpack gameplay, that may be exactly your thing. Mine was never. I have other standards:

Standy REVEALS NEW ROAD to go PRO in Vanguard! & REAL DIFFERENCE b/w Pros & Amateurs | 1v1 Me Bro #9

Well structured maps for considered tactics Fast movement Many 6VS6 maps to start Fun assault rifles No future setting Many battles Killstreak mechanics

About the author: The Call of Duty series accompanies Maik his entire adult life and here on Meinmmo he has been working on the fast shooters since now 2 years.

Apart from the cods with Jetpack gameplay, after a release, he has always put a lot of time in the multiplayer and collected several thousand hours playing time. Maik always motivates the claim to play even better in the next match.

In particular, for him, the time of modern Warfare 2, the Cod of 2009 was a lot of strong assault rifles, sophisticated map design, down-to-earth setting. That was a cod for his taste and Vanguard has the right approaches to become such a crack for him.

To say it briefly and with the mummy after a few MVP matches: Vanguard makes almost everything right for me. The general movement have again set the developers after the beta again a good deal faster and together with the field settings on the consoles Vanguard plays very sparkling with it very sparkling without the time-to-kill being too low.

I almost fly over the map, slide around the corners, supposed opponents with headshots and feel very powerful when getting started. Every double kill continues to bring me forward and my kills lay down like a dark veil Mood of the opposing team. The movement is like a cast, I quickly got the turns out and the first 10 kills on the account.

In addition, Vanguard uses a polished version of the graphic engine of Warzone. I just needed invert my controller control in the settings and was directly warm. OK, a few more settings I have changed then, but I was full of the first moment.

But also the maps. Oh yes, what kind of maps! At none of the previously tried cards I have felt uncomfortable or felt excessive disadvantages. Here and there might be a little more color in the game, as you can tell Vanguard the setting in the Second World War something - the colors are little saturated and rather pale.

But the construction and the feelings have picked me up quickly. Vanguard restarts more on structured maps with mostly clear paths, an action-rich center and many ways to flank. Considered procedure will be rewarded and I could hardly make up power positions, which can be mastered the entire MAP.

There are also some classics from COD: World at was in the game where I completed my first multiplayer matches at that time.

The familiar control, the strong movement and the good first impression of the maps have to give me the feeling of a real cod. Something that I missed in the last parts in releasing.

From the first moment slipped, fired and jumped around the corners, as if Vanguard had been a gift for the 18th birthday. And that s for me for a while, at that time the first Call of Duty was up to date.

COD MW and Cold was not my thing to release

The COD from 2019 was a bit tough to the release. When building the maps, the developers tried something new, brought a lot of verticality into the cards and renounced a fundamental structure with 3 lanes. However, the lanes ensured that for every type of play was something: close and remote fighter.

The maps, some mechanics and also the fast time-to-kill beneficiaries rather stationary gameplay and thus camper.

Besides, I felt many maps than too big and I was partly on the road for a whole minute, without seeing an opponent - sounds little for call-of-duty ratios but a lot! Vanguard, on the other hand, with the Combat Pacing offers the option to tackle 6VS6 maps with more players. Even on the big maps, I regularly ran an enemy through the crosshair.

In Modern Warfare I had the greatest fun on the chaos map Shipment and the gameplay here was not necessarily the usual fame of COD MW.

At Cold I was also the problem with the big maps. For me, Combat Pacing is also one of the best, new features in Vanguard - maybe even the best new feature.

But even in the general sense of feelings, the cod of 2020 could not convince me. Everything looked so static, the movement felt lame and I did not feel the feeling of constant action.

Also, the scoretreaks have cold was a little killed for me. Killstreaks I feel as exactly the right reward system that can create a tremendous motivation in the match.

What are Streaks in COD? About a Streak, to German Strap, you can get in Call of Duty powerful equipment during the match. There are devices for enlightenment, disorder of the opponents, but also powerful war units such as bombers sweeping over the battlefield.

A killstreak system includes only your kills you collect without death in a piece. The scoretreak system from Cold was collected the points for a streak over several lives, but more kills brought a better score at a time, so more points for your streecs.

Although many kills without death in Cold was also important for the high streecs - it s nothing about the feeling of redeeming the 10s killstreaks in a switzer lobby after fierce battles. And Vanguard again has the dog stiffen, with which I hate a big pack of dangerous fighting dogs on opponents.

So the new cod not only picks me off, it takes me to the party, does not drink anything and brings me back home. Maybe a very good friend next year.

My first impression is very positive because Vanguard gives me a lot, which I expect from a cod. It is a real cod for me, which convinces with his strong maps and a lot of content to start, while the gameplay gives me a sense of strength.

This feeling of power set up right after the first killstreak and pushes me to ever better achievements. That s exactly what Vanguard tells me about the first second and that s exactly what I want from a Call of Duty.

However, I am also interested in your opinion on the subject, as a real COD certainly makes something different for some of you certainly. Do you feel at Vanguard also reminded directly to other COD times or are my opinion maybe even against the line? I like to leave a comment.
