Last week, a rumor appeared on the Internet stating that Prince of Persia remake would be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Although the rumor has since been corroborated by several journalists, it has now been revealed that few details were incorrect.
The rumor, born of a retailer based in Guatemala who had introduced Prince of Persia Remake in his lists, reported that the title will only come out on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Addressing a follower on Twitter, Niko Partners' Senior Analyst, Daniel Ahmad, said Prince of Persia Remake's original rumor was wrong on platforms and date.
The official announcement should be made on September 10 Ubisoft Forward, where publication is also likely to re-reveal God monsters as immortals: Fenyx Rising.
Considering that Daniel Ahmad stated that the platforms were false, Prince of Persia Remake could be a large-scale project that will also arrive on the next generation consoles at a later stage, instead of a faster remaster of all kinds who will fall in less than a year from now. However, this option can not be excluded because another initiate of Peetera had pointed out that the game was a simple remaster of Sands of Time.
In any case, the first game on Prince of Persia Console since 2008 is apparently about to be confirmed, relaunching one of the dormant Ubisoft IPs with Splinter Cell.
