As the Champions League finalist announced on Wednesday, Berger has extended her contract prematurely until summer 2024 with the option for another year. "I'm really happy to stay longer here. The players, the team and the staff make me a better player, so there is no reason why I should go somewhere else," Berger is quoted in a statement. Since 2019 Berger plays for Chelsea, after the past season she had been awarded the best goalkeeper of the Women's Super League.
